Watten Volunteer Fire Department
Watten Volunteer Fire Department is hosting the annual fish fry fundraiser at Sunny Cove in support of the fire department.  All expenses incurred by the department to facilitate training, fire hall maintenance, response to fires and vehicle crashes are recovered through fundraising efforts.   Volunteer Fire Departments are vitally important not only for their response to help communities but because they help lower insurance rates for home owners.  This year, the volunteers of Watten Fire Department provided much needed filling and  delivering of sand bags!  Get out and support your Watten Volunteer Fire Department at the Fish Fry!  Feel free to download the poster and distribute!

Sunny Cove - located on Highway 11, approximately 12 km east of Fort Frances  - look for a white name sign on the north side of the highway "Kiwanis Sunny Cove".

For more information, or to call to volunteer to help at the Fish Fry - call Brian at 274-6057.  Take out orders available!

On November 4th, the Township of Emo in conjunction with the North Western Health Unit is hosting a Family Safety Night.  This is an event that hopes to increase awareness of the various health, safety and community services available in Emo and the Rainy River District.
As a service industry, I would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in the Emo Family Safety Night.  It will take place upstairs at the Emo Arena and run from 3:30-6:00 p.m.  Those who participate will have the opportunity to set up a booth where they can give community members information about the services they offer.
Our hope is that this will be a fun and interactive family event, so the more creative you are with your booth, the better!
If you would like to participate, or would like more information please feel free to email or call me at the below phone number.
