The Rainy River District Community Policing Committee (CPC) would like to thank you for registering for Trunk or Treat!  This event was designed to bring our community together to support families with a safe and fun activity!  There is no cost to register or participate!

Participants are invited to decorate their vehicle trunks and creep on over to the Fort Frances Public Library on Saturday October 31st, 2015 anytime between 2:30pm and 3:45pm.  In order for us to ensure the safest possible environment for children, all vehicles must be parked by 3:45pm.  The event will begin at 4:00pm sharp!  Please use the Reid Avenue entrance across from Green Funeral Home.

Kenora Rainy River District Child and Family Services will be on site at the Library parking lot to welcome you and direct you to your designated parking spot.  All vehicles must remain parked until the event concludes at 6:00pm.

We anticipate a large number of young children and families will be participating in the Trunk or Treat event.  We ask that each participant bring enough candy for at least 250 children.   CPC will have extra candy on hand to supplement all participants!

Remember, CPC will also be hosting a Community Spaghetti “Take Out” Dinner at the Memorial Sports Centre Auditorium (upstairs) on Friday October 31, 2014 between 4:00pm – 7:00pm! Come on over after Trunk or Treat!

This year, our theme is “Do The BRIGHT Thing!”.  There will be trophies awarded for the following categories***:
-        Best in Show
-        Brightest and Most Visible
-        Spookiest
-        Most Creative Theme
-        Most Original
-        Funniest
-        Best in Business
-        Best Individual
-        Best Agency
-        ***any ties will be determined by Gangham Style dance off!

Thanks again for your commitment to safety and see you at the library!

On November 4th, the Township of Emo in conjunction with the North Western Health Unit is hosting a Family Safety Night.  This is an event that hopes to increase awareness of the various health, safety and community services available in Emo and the Rainy River District.
As a service industry, I would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in the Emo Family Safety Night.  It will take place upstairs at the Emo Arena and run from 3:30-6:00 p.m.  Those who participate will have the opportunity to set up a booth where they can give community members information about the services they offer.
Our hope is that this will be a fun and interactive family event, so the more creative you are with your booth, the better!
If you would like to participate, or would like more information please feel free to email or call me at the below phone number.
